The Fox's Hermit Social Link in Persona 4 Golden starts on May 5 at the shrine off the north Shopping District, and it rises one rank for each ema request you finish: quests 7 to 15 take it from rank 1 to rank 10, per RPG Site's Fox guide. The Fox also sells SP refills in the dungeons, 5 yen cheaper per SP with every rank, from 60 yen at rank 1 to 15 yen at rank 10, and rank 10 gives the Gratitude Ema, which unlocks the fusion of Ongyo-ki. In Persona 4 Revival (Feb 18, 2027) the Social Links are fully voiced and, Atlus's staff told PCGamesN, largely unchanged; Atlus has not published Revival's quests.

Visit the shrine in the north Shopping District on or after May 5 and meet the Fox. After each rank, take the next ema from the Fox, do what the wish asks, and report back. Each rank cuts the price of SP refills in every dungeon, so the earlier the quests are done, the more they save.

Tips for the hardest quests

Quest 9: the dog is not at the riverbank on rainy days, RPG Site says.
Quest 12: the girl's three visits need high Understanding, then Expression, then Courage; raise Social Stats first.
Quest 13: the cat appears only after quest 20, which comes from the man outside the bookstore; feed fish to the cat at the Flood Plain (catch them, or buy from Tanaka's Sunday channel on Jun 5).
Quest 15: catch the River Guardian with an Inaba Jewel Bug (bugs are caught at night; Guardians bite more on rainy days), take the River Rod, then use Genji Beetle bait (caught at night or sold by Tanaka on Aug 22) at Shichiri Beach. The beach needs six scooter rides, a Golden feature.

Fox's link in Persona 4 Revival

Atlus has not published Revival's ema quests or the Fox's prices. The Social Links are unchanged in nature, Kazuhisa Wada told Anime Corner on Jul 8, 2026, with "little bits and pieces" added to some, per PCGamesN. Whether quest 15 still needs the scooter and the beach is not known: Atlus has not itemized which Golden extras Revival keeps.
