Persona 4 Revival

Chie Satonaka is the energetic, kung fu loving classmate who sits next to the protagonist in Persona 4; her Persona Tomoe fights with ice and physical skills and evolves into Suzuka Gongen and, in Persona 4 Golden, Haraedo-no-Okami. In Persona 4 Revival she is voiced by Anne Yatco in English and Yui Horie in Japanese.

Kanji Tatsumi is the first-year student with a fearsome delinquent's reputation in Persona 4, an electric and physical heavy hitter whose Persona Take-Mikazuchi becomes Takeji Zaiten in Persona 4 Golden. In Persona 4 Revival he is voiced by Daman Mills in English and Tomokazu Seki in Japanese, and his storyline is reported to be largely unchanged.

Marie is the girl with no memories added in Persona 4 Golden, a Velvet Room resident with the Aeon Social Link whose story leads to the Hollow Forest and the Golden Ending. Persona 4 Revival keeps her and works her in from the start, voiced by Ari Thrash in English and Kana Hanazawa in Japanese.

Naoto Shirogane is the fifth-generation detective of the Shirogane family in Persona 4, the last member to join the Investigation Team, wielding light and dark skills through the Persona Sukuna-Hikona and, in Persona 4 Golden, the ultimate Yamato Sumeragi. In Persona 4 Revival Naoto is voiced by Amber Lee Connors in English and Romi Park in Japanese.

Persona 4's main characters are the protagonist and the seven Investigation Team members, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, Teddie and Naoto, with the Dojimas, Adachi, the Velvet Room's Igor, Margaret and Marie, and the town's Social Link characters. Persona 4 Revival recasts all of them in English except Adachi.

Persona 4's protagonist is a second-year high school student who moves to Inaba to live with his uncle; the player names him, and the anime and later media call him Yu Narukami. In Persona 4 Revival his first Persona is still Izanagi, and he is voiced by Nazeeh Tarsha in English and Daisuke Namikawa in Japanese.

Rise Kujikawa is the idol "Risette" in Persona 4 who becomes the Investigation Team's navigator, the only member who does not fight; her Persona is Himiko, and in Persona 4 Golden its ultimate form is Kouzeon. In Persona 4 Revival she is voiced by Abby Trott in English and Rie Kugimiya in Japanese, and sings "True Story - Revival".

Teddie (Kuma in Japanese) is the mysterious, childlike resident of the TV world in Persona 4 who guides the team at first and later fights as its healer and support, with the Persona Kintoki-Douji and, in Persona 4 Golden, the ultimate Kamui-Moshiri. In Persona 4 Revival he is voiced by Laila Berzins in English and Kappei Yamaguchi in Japanese.

Tohru Adachi is the young detective who works under Ryotaro Dojima in Persona 4, given his own Jester Social Link in Persona 4 Golden. In Persona 4 Revival Johnny Yong Bosch returns as his English voice, the only original English actor to come back, with Mitsuaki Madono again in Japanese.

Yosuke Hanamura is the protagonist's outspoken classmate and first ally in Persona 4, a wind user whose Persona Jiraiya evolves into Susano-o and, in Persona 4 Golden, Takehaya Susano-o. In Persona 4 Revival he is voiced by Paul Castro Jr. in English and Showtaro Morikubo in Japanese.

Yukiko Amagi is the protagonist's classmate and daughter of the Amagi Inn's owners in Persona 4, the team's fire caster and healer, whose Persona is Konohana Sakuya and whose ultimate form in Persona 4 Golden is Sumeo-Okami. In Persona 4 Revival she is voiced by Brianna Knickerbocker in English and Ami Koshimizu in Japanese.

The strongest Persona in Persona 4 Golden is Izanagi-no-Okami, a New Game Plus fusion; on a first run TheGamer picks Yoshitsune, Surt, Loki, Thor, Odin, Daisoujou, Alice and Helel as the best for each element, and each party member's ultimate Persona comes from a maxed Social Link.

Izanagi-no-Okami is the strongest Persona in Persona 4 Golden, a level 91 World arcana Persona you can fuse only in New Game Plus after the True Ending, from twelve Personas including Norn from a maxed Naoto link.

Persona 4 Golden's battles are turn-based: hit an enemy's weakness to knock it down and earn 1 More, knock every enemy down for an All-Out Attack, and strike first from behind. Persona 4 Revival keeps that core and adds Guard Action, Send Flying, Baton Pass and Prime Time.

In Persona 4 Golden you fuse two or more Personas into a new one in the Velvet Room, capped at your own level, passing on some skills and gaining bonus EXP from the matching Social Link. Persona 4 Revival keeps Velvet Room fusion, Atlus says.

The Velvet Room in Persona 4 Golden is where Igor fuses Personas, Margaret keeps the Compendium and makes Persona requests for her Empress Social Link, and Marie, new to Golden, handles Skill Cards. Persona 4 Revival keeps it, with Marie in from the start.

Heaven is the sixth dungeon of Persona 4 Golden, open from Nov 6 with a Nov 20 deadline: 10 floors, the World Balance midboss on floor 7 and Kunino-sagiri on floor 10, at level 60 or more. Persona 4 Revival's director named it one of the two dungeons that gain most from modern hardware.

The Hollow Forest is the bonus dungeon added in Persona 4 Golden, opened by maxing Marie's Aeon Social Link in December and played on one day, Feb 13: 10 floors with no items, no armor and SP halved after every battle, ending in two back-to-back fights with Marie. Revival keeps Marie, but Atlus has not said whether the forest is unchanged.

Magatsu Inaba is the seventh dungeon of Persona 4 Golden, opened by naming the culprit on Dec 5 and finished before Christmas, with Magatsu Mandala below it and two final fights at about level 70 to 75. Atlus has not said what Persona 4 Revival changes in it.

Marukyu Striptease is Rise Kujikawa's dungeon in Persona 4 Golden, open from Jun 25: 11 floors, the Amorous Snake midboss on 7F, then Shadow Rise and Shadow Teddie back to back on 11F, at about level 35 to 40. Atlus has not said what Persona 4 Revival changes in it.

Persona 4 Golden's optional bosses are the Reaper, summoned by opening 20 chests on one trip, Margaret of the Velvet Room, fought only in New Game Plus, and a new Shadow in each cleared dungeon on a return visit. Atlus has not said whether Persona 4 Revival keeps them.

Every boss in Persona 4 Golden in story order, from Shadow Yosuke to the true final boss, with each one's dungeon, weaknesses, resistances and recommended level, plus the optional bosses. Atlus has not published Persona 4 Revival's boss list.

Persona 4 Golden has nine dungeons inside the TV, in order Yukiko's Castle, Steamy Bathhouse, Marukyu Striptease, Void Quest, Secret Laboratory, Heaven, Magatsu Inaba, the Golden-only Hollow Forest and Yomotsu Hirasaka. Persona 4 Revival keeps the same procedurally generated corridors in its pre-release build.

The Secret Laboratory is Naoto Shirogane's dungeon in Persona 4 Golden, open from Sep 16 with an Oct 5 deadline: it descends to B9F, needs two key cards from B6F and the Dominating Machine midboss, and ends with Shadow Naoto, weak only to electric, at about level 50 to 55. Atlus has not said what Persona 4 Revival changes in it.

The Steamy Bathhouse is Kanji Tatsumi's dungeon in Persona 4 Golden, open from May 19 with a Jun 4 deadline: 11 baths, the Daring Gigas midboss on Bath #7 and Shadow Kanji, who drains electric, on Bath #11, at about level 25 to 28. Atlus has not said what Persona 4 Revival changes in it.

Void Quest is Mitsuo Kubo's retro game dungeon in Persona 4 Golden, open from Jul 29 with an Aug 12 deadline: 10 floors called chapters, the Killing Hand and Almighty Hand midbosses on chapter 7, and Shadow Mitsuo on the last, Endgame, at about level 45. Atlus has not said what Persona 4 Revival changes in it.

Yomotsu Hirasaka is the true final dungeon of Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden, open only on Mar 20 on the true ending route: nine Paths with Shadows from level 76 and the final boss on Path Nine, safest at about level 80. Atlus has not said what Persona 4 Revival changes in it.

Yukiko's Castle is the first real dungeon of Persona 4 Golden, where the team rescues Yukiko Amagi by beating Shadow Chie on floor 2, Avenger Knight on floor 5 and Shadow Yukiko, who is weak to ice, on floor 8 at about level 12 to 15. It is the dungeon Persona 4 Revival's previews and demos let players try.

Tohru Adachi's Jester Social Link is a Persona 4 Golden addition: start it at Junes from May 13, see him only on set dates, and reach rank 6 by the end of Nov 1 or it locks. Atlus has not said whether it is in Persona 4 Revival.

Ai Ebihara is the Moon Social Link in Persona 4 Golden: she appears once your Strength link reaches rank 4, and needs Courage 3 to skip class with her; two wrong answers reverse the link, and only the normal route ends in a lasting romance. Rank 10 lets you fuse Sandalphon.

Chie Satonaka's Chariot Social Link in Persona 4 Golden starts automatically on Apr 18; choose "Will you be my girlfriend?" at rank 8 to romance her, and rank 10 gives the Wristband for fusing Suzuka Gongen and Futsunushi.

Ryotaro Dojima's Hierophant Social Link in Persona 4 Golden starts automatically on May 6 and is played at home in the evenings he is in; ranks 2, 4 and 5 need Expression 2, 3 and 4, and rank 10 gives the Coffee Mug for fusing Kohryu.

Eri Minami is the Temperance Social Link in Persona 4 Golden, met through the Assistant Daycare part-time job on Monday, Friday and Saturday; work the job twice to start it, and rank 10 lets you fuse Vishnu.

The Fox's Hermit Social Link in Persona 4 Golden starts on May 5 at the shrine and ranks up once for each of nine ema requests (quests 7 to 15); rank 10 gives the Gratitude Ema for fusing Ongyo-ki and the cheapest SP refills.

Hisano Kuroda is the Death Social Link in Persona 4 Golden: it opens once Sayoko's Devil link reaches rank 4, she is on the Samegawa Flood Plain only on Sundays and holidays, no answer changes her points, and rank 10 lets you fuse Mahakala.

The Investigation Team's Fool Social Link in Persona 4 Golden ranks up on its own on fixed story dates, from Apr 17 to Dec 3; rank 10 lets you fuse Loki, and on the better story paths it leads straight into the Judgement link.

The Judgement Social Link in Persona 4 Golden is the Investigation Team renamed the Seekers of Truth: it starts on Dec 3 if you avoid the bad ending, ranks up automatically through Dec 7 and the last dungeon, and rank 10 lets you fuse Lucifer.

Kanji Tatsumi's Emperor Social Link in Persona 4 Golden opens from Jun 9 by talking to a student on Classroom Building 2F, then to Kanji; rank 10 gives the Cute Strap for fusing Rokuten Maoh and Odin. It is not a romance.

In Persona 4 Golden the Strength Social Link is Kou Ichijo if you join the basketball club or Daisuke Nagase if you join soccer, open from Apr 19; you can only have one, and rank 10 lets you fuse Zaou-Gongen.

Margaret's Empress Social Link in Persona 4 Golden opens in the Velvet Room from May 19 with Knowledge 3 and ranks up each time you bring her the Persona she asks for; rank 10 gives the Spiral Brooch for fusing Isis.

Marie is the Aeon Social Link added in Persona 4 Golden: start it in the Velvet Room on or after Apr 18, rank 5 waits until Jul 24, and maxing it in December (guides give deadlines from Dec 22 to Dec 31) opens the Hollow Forest and the Golden Ending. Persona 4 Revival keeps Marie.

Nanako Dojima's Justice Social Link in Persona 4 Golden starts automatically on May 3 and must reach rank 10 by Oct 31; it needs Expression 3 and then maximum Expression, and rank 10 gives the Family Photo for fusing Sraosha.

Naoki Konishi is the Hanged Man Social Link in Persona 4 Golden: talk to him on the school's first floor from Jun 8 for several days in a row to start it, then see him Monday to Thursday; rank 10 lets you fuse Attis.

Naoto Shirogane's Fortune Social Link in Persona 4 Golden opens on Oct 21 and needs Knowledge 5 and Courage 5 to start; romancing her takes two flags at ranks 5 and 7, and rank 10 gives the Detective Badge for fusing Yamato-Takeru and Norn.

Persona 4 Golden has 23 Social Links, one per arcana, from Yosuke's Magician to Marie's Aeon; maxing each lets you fuse that arcana's strongest Persona. Persona 4 Revival (Feb 18, 2027) keeps them largely unchanged and fully voiced.

Rise Kujikawa's Lovers Social Link in Persona 4 Golden starts automatically on Jul 23 and runs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays; choose "Hold her." at rank 7 to romance her, and rank 10 gives the Signed Photo for fusing Kanzeon and Ishtar.

Sayoko Uehara is the Devil Social Link in Persona 4 Golden, met through the hospital cleaning night job from May 25 (Diligence 3) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings; rank 4 opens Hisano's Death link, and rank 10 lets you fuse Beelzebub.

Shu Nakajima is the Tower Social Link in Persona 4 Golden, met through the Tutor night job, open from May 25 but only with Understanding 5, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings; rank 10 lets you fuse Shiva.

Teddie's Star Social Link in Persona 4 Golden ranks up on story dates and dungeon clears, from Jun 24 to Dec 5; rank 10 comes only on the normal or true ending path and lets you fuse Kamui and Helel.

Yosuke Hanamura's Magician Social Link in Persona 4 Golden starts on Apr 16 at school; at rank 10 it gives the Buddy's Bandage, which lets you fuse Susano-o and Mada. It is not a romance, and Persona 4 Revival does not add one.

Yukiko Amagi's Priestess Social Link in Persona 4 Golden starts automatically on May 17; choose "I really like you." at rank 8 to romance her, and rank 10 gives the Shrine Charm for fusing Amaterasu and Scathach.

In Persona 4 Golden the Sun Social Link is Yumi Ozawa if you join the Drama Club or Ayane Matsunaga if you join the Music Club, from Apr 25; you get only one per playthrough, both can be romanced, and rank 10 lets you fuse Asura.

Persona 4 Golden takes about 68 to 70 hours for the main story, about 85 hours with side content and around 140 hours to complete everything, by HowLongToBeat's figures as Game Rant and TheGamer cited them in 2022. Persona 4 Revival's length is not known before its Feb 18, 2027 release.

The best first-run tips for Persona 4 Golden are to clear each dungeon on its first visits to free the calendar, study and shop on rainy days, start Knowledge and Courage early, carry a Persona of your friend's arcana, keep the Fox and the garden for SP, and lower the difficulty if you want to. Most should carry to Persona 4 Revival.

Persona 4 Golden runs on a day-by-day calendar from April to Mar 20, with fixed dungeon deadlines, exams and Social Link cutoffs. This calendar lists the dates editorial guides publish, month by month, and says which ones are not confirmed.

Persona 4 Golden has bad endings, a normal ending, the true ending and the Golden ending, decided by the Dec 3 hospital choices, naming the culprit on Dec 5, and saying "No" to going home on Mar 20. The PS2 Persona 4 has no Golden ending.

Every classroom question and exam answer in Persona 4 Golden, from Apr 14 to the February exams, by date, as RPG Site and TheGamer list them. Golden's answers differ from the PS2 Persona 4's, and Persona 4 Revival's have not been published.

Persona 4 Golden has five social stats, Knowledge, Courage, Diligence, Understanding and Expression, each with five ranks, raised by studying, jobs, books and activities and needed to open several Social Links. Persona 4 Revival's stats have not been detailed.

Persona 4 Revival is Atlus's full remake of Persona 4 Golden, published by SEGA, out Feb 18, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam), day one on Game Pass, and on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 20, 2027. It keeps the story and adds full voice acting, new events and new battle mechanics.

Persona 4 Revival keeps Persona 4 Golden's turn-based battles, where hitting a weakness knocks a Shadow down for 1 More and knocking all of them down opens an All-Out Attack, and adds Guard Action, Send Flying, Baton Pass and Prime Time, which ends in the Series Finale finisher.

Persona 4 Revival costs $69.99 (Standard), $84.99 (Digital Deluxe) or $99.99 (Digital Premium), and the physical Collector's Edition is $249.99. Every pre-order gets the P3R & P5R Extra BGM Set, and no edition includes early access.

Persona 4 Revival's music is by Ryota Kozuka of the Atlus Sound Team, who rearranged Shoji Meguro's Persona 4 soundtrack and wrote new songs, with vocals by Shiori Sasaki. The new advantage theme is "Prime Time Golden Hour Show," and the 4-CD soundtrack comes out on Feb 18, 2027.

Persona 4 Revival is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Steam on Feb 18, 2027, day one on Game Pass, and to Nintendo Switch 2 on May 20, 2027. There is no PS4, Xbox One or original Switch version, and the PC requirements were still "TBD" as of Nov 3, 2026.

Persona 4 Revival has no reviews yet as of Nov 3, 2026; the hands-on previews from RPG Site, PC Gamer and GamesRadar+, each about an hour with a pre-release build in Aug and Sep 2026, were positive. Japan has a Tokyo Game Show demo and in-store demos from Nov 14 to Dec 13, 2026.

Persona 4 Revival comes out on Feb 18, 2027 worldwide on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, day one on Game Pass, and on Nintendo Switch 2 on May 20, 2027. As of Nov 3, 2026 Atlus has announced no launch hour and no pre-load date.

Persona 4 Revival has a new English cast led by Nazeeh Tarsha as the protagonist, Paul Castro Jr. as Yosuke, Anne Yatco as Chie and Brianna Knickerbocker as Yukiko, with Johnny Yong Bosch the one returning actor, as Adachi. The Japanese cast largely returns.

Persona 4 Revival remakes Persona 4 Golden with Marie in it, keeps the story as it was, and adds full voice acting for every Social Link, new seasonal events, Location Episodes with Aika Nakamura, a 3D Okina City, new battle moves and rearranged music. Atlus has not said item by item which other Golden extras it keeps.

Persona 4 follows a transfer student who spends one school year in the rural town of Inaba, where he and his friends enter a world inside the TV to rescue people from a serial killer before the fog rolls in. Persona 4 Revival (Feb 18, 2027) retells the Persona 4 Golden story without changing it.

Persona 4 is Atlus's 2008 PlayStation 2 role-playing game, released in North America as Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, about a year in the town of Inaba and a murder mystery solved inside the TV. It scores 90 on Metacritic and was expanded as Persona 4 Golden (2012) and remade as Persona 4 Revival (2027).

Persona 4 Golden is Atlus's expanded version of Persona 4, released on PS Vita in 2012, on PC in 2020 and on PS4, Xbox and Switch in 2023, adding Marie, new Social Links, events and a new ending. It scores 93 on Metacritic (Vita) and is the game Persona 4 Revival remakes.

Persona 4's cast returned in the fighting games Persona 4 Arena (2012) and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (2014), the 3DS dungeon crawlers Persona Q (2014) and Persona Q2 (2019), the rhythm game Persona 4 Dancing All Night (2015), two anime series (2011 and 2014) and a 2012 stage play. Atlus says those spin-offs shaped Persona 4 Revival's characters.

The main Persona games in release order are Revelations: Persona, Persona 2 (Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment), Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 5, then the remakes Persona 3 Reload (2024) and Persona 4 Revival (Feb 18, 2027), with Persona 6 announced on Jun 7, 2026 and not yet dated. The series has sold over 30 million units.

Persona 4 can be played today as Persona 4 Golden for $19.99 on Steam, PS4 (and PS5), Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Persona 4 Revival, the full remake, comes to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Game Pass on Feb 18, 2027 and to Switch 2 on May 20, 2027.
