Teddie

Teddie (Kuma in Japanese) is the mysterious, childlike resident of the TV world in Persona 4 who guides the team at first and later fights as its healer and support, with the Persona Kintoki-Douji and, in Persona 4 Golden, the ultimate Kamui-Moshiri. In Persona 4 Revival he is voiced by Laila Berzins in English and Kappei Yamaguchi in Japanese.

Teddie, called Kuma in Japanese, is a mysterious being who lives in the TV world in Persona 4: SEGA calls him full of childlike curiosity and enthusiasm, joining the Investigation Team to protect his home (SEGA). He guides the team through the early dungeons as its navigator, then, after his own Shadow is faced at the end of Marukyu Striptease, fights alongside them as a healer and support with the Persona Kintoki-Douji, while Rise takes over navigation. In Persona 4 Revival he is voiced by Laila Berzins in English and, as since the first game, Kappei Yamaguchi in Japanese.

Shadow Teddie

In Persona 4 Golden, Shadow Teddie comes straight after Shadow Rise on floor 11 of Marukyu Striptease, at level 35, with no chance to grind or rest between them. TheGamer finds no weakness to exploit: it drains ice, nulls light and dark and resists almighty. Its patterns warn of what is coming: Marakunda then Heat Wave, Mind Charge then Mabufula, and Ultra Charge then, two turns later, Nihil Hand, heavy almighty damage to everyone that instantly kills anyone already Dizzy. TheGamer suggests Yukiko on healing, Kanji in place of the ice-weak Chie, an ice-resistant Persona for the protagonist and Mouthwash for silence (TheGamer). The fight is on Persona 4 Bosses. The clip is BuffMaister's fight in Persona 4 Golden on PC at Very Hard.

Kintoki-Douji and his skills

Teddie's job in Persona 4 Golden is keeping the team standing. His Social Link teaches Auto Rakukaja at rank 2, Recarm at rank 4, Marakunda at rank 6 and Samarecarm at rank 8 (RPG Site), his Energy Shower cures exhaustion, and he learns Amrita at level 61 (TheGamer); TheGamer puts him in its parties for the first three dungeons (TheGamer). His Star link advances with the story, on dates from 6/24 to 12/5 on the normal or true path, so it cannot be missed there; at rank 10 the protagonist can fuse Kamui and Helel. Because the link maxes on its own, Teddie is always ready on Jan 10 to unlock Golden's third form, Kamui-Moshiri, which absorbs ice, is weak to electric and casts Kamui Miracle, a skill with a random effect (Game Rant). Dates are on Teddie Social Link.

Teddie in Persona 4 Revival

Teddie's character trailer came on Sep 13, 2026 (RPG Site), and an official Revival screenshot shows him calling support during one of Yukiko's 4 More turns. Laila Berzins takes over in English; Kappei Yamaguchi returns in Japanese. In Japan, Teddie greets visitors at Atlus's in-store Revival demos in Akiba on Nov 21 and Umeda on Nov 29, 2026 (Persona Channel). Atlus has not said anything in his story changes.
