Chie Satonaka

Chie Satonaka is the energetic, kung fu loving classmate who sits next to the protagonist in Persona 4; her Persona Tomoe fights with ice and physical skills and evolves into Suzuka Gongen and, in Persona 4 Golden, Haraedo-no-Okami. In Persona 4 Revival she is voiced by Anne Yatco in English and Yui Horie in Japanese.

Maxing her Chariot Social Link evolves Tomoe into Suzuka Gongen, and Persona 4 Golden adds a third form, Haraedo-no-Okami. Shadow Chie

37:16 Chie's Shadow is the first fight with a partner: the protagonist and Yosuke meet it on floor 2 of Yukiko's Castle. In Persona 4 Golden, Shadow Chie resists all physical attacks and is weak to wind, so Yosuke's Garu knocks her down for an All-Out Attack while the protagonist adds Zio. Her Mazio hits the whole party and downs Yosuke; when she "looks at Yosuke scornfully," Mazio comes next turn and he should guard, and her Green Wall cuts wind damage for three turns (TheGamer). Chie joins the team after the fight (TheGamer). The rest of the castle is on Yukiko's Castle, and every boss on Persona 4 Bosses. Tomoe, Suzuka Gongen and Haraedo-no-Okami

In Persona 4 Golden Chie casts ice, learning Mabufu at level 14, which makes her the main attacker against the ice-weak Shadow Yukiko (TheGamer), and late in the game she hits with physical skills such as God Hand (TheGamer). Tomoe's fire weakness is the catch, so she should guard against fire users. Her evolved Persona, Suzuka Gongen, loses the fire weakness and nulls ice instead of only resisting it (TheGamer). Golden's third form, Haraedo-no-Okami, absorbs ice, is weak to fire again and brings Dragon's Hustle, which raises all the party's stats; it unlocks by maxing her link and talking to her between Jan 10 and Feb 5. Game Rant also notes that Golden improved her magic slightly over the PS2 game (Game Rant).

Her Social Link starts on 4/18, meets on the school rooftop or outside Daidara Metalworks, and can turn romantic at rank 8 to 9; its rank 10 Wristband lets the protagonist fuse Suzuka Gongen and Futsunushi (RPG Site). Answers are on Chie Social Link.

Chie's character trailer followed on Jul 21, 2026 under the line "Kick back with Chie Satonaka" (RPG Site). Erin Fitzgerald, Chie's earlier English voice, was one of three actors who said in May 2025 that they had not been asked back. Atlus has not said that anything in Chie's story changes; RPG Site's and PC Gamer's previews of a pre-release build both ran through Yukiko's Castle to the Shadow Chie fight (PC Gamer, Sep 2, 2026).
