The three English-language previews, by RPG Site, PC Gamer and GamesRadar+, each covered about an hour of the opening and Yukiko's Castle in August and September 2026, and all three were positive, praising the look and the faithfulness, with doubts about sameness and the dungeons' new guide path. In Japan the public can play a short demo in stores from Nov 14 to Dec 13, 2026; no demo for home consoles or PC has been announced. Is Persona 4 Revival good?

Too early to say. Nobody outside Atlus has played the finished game, and each preview was about an hour with an unfinished build. Within that, the writers were impressed: RPG Site called it already a confident and stylish remake, PC Gamer said it feels just as good as its predecessor did 16 years ago, and GamesRadar+ called it "the best-looking Persona game to date." RPG Site

49:43 Galizio found that the build did not diverge much from Persona 4 Golden so far and that Golden's added content, Marie among it, was there. It uses the same updated presentation as Persona 3 Reload, and as a writer let down by Reload leaving out the FES content, he rated this remake more favorably for keeping Golden's. Prime Time lasted up to four turns and ended with a finisher by a chosen party member. He saw nothing to suggest the game would run differently from Persona 3 Reload on consoles. PC Gamer

Taylor came in worried about the series repeating itself: PC Gamer frames Persona 3 Reload as the first game on a Persona 5 template and this one as doing it all over again. The hands-on eased that worry. She noted the dungeons keep their procedurally generated corridors, most of the English cast is new, the soundtrack is re-recorded and rearranged, Inaba is explorable in 3D, and the Shadows are refined with tweaks rather than redesigned.

8:50 Lewis praised the visuals above all and wrote that Paul Castro Jr.'s Yosuke matches Yuri Lowenthal's outgoing vibe. In the dungeon, sword hitboxes felt far more accurate than in Golden, smashable objects restored small amounts of SP, and a glowing path pointed the way. Her doubt was that path: she could not tell whether it can be switched off. She also named remade versions of "Time to Make History" and "Reach Out to the Truth" and the new advantage theme "Prime Time Golden Hour Show." Only in Japan, in person. Atlus brought a playable build to Tokyo Game Show 2026 with two modes of about 15 minutes each: the opening story, or dungeon exploration in Yukiko's Castle. The same content runs in Atlus Japan's in-store demos at six Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera stores in five cities from Nov 14 to Dec 13, 2026, with Teddie greeting players at Akiba on Nov 21 and at Umeda on Nov 29. About 25 minutes of uninterrupted play was also captured at BiliBili World 2026. A demo for PS5, Xbox or PC had not been announced as of Nov 3, 2026.

When will Persona 4 Revival reviews come out?
