Yumi and Ayane Social Link

In Persona 4 Golden the Sun Social Link is Yumi Ozawa if you join the Drama Club or Ayane Matsunaga if you join the Music Club, from Apr 25; you get only one per playthrough, both can be romanced, and rank 10 lets you fuse Asura.

In Persona 4 Golden the Sun Social Link belongs to whichever cultural club you join from Apr 25: the Drama Club makes it Yumi Ozawa's, the Music Club (the band) makes it Ayane Matsunaga's, and you can only be in one per playthrough. Both girls can be romanced, Yumi at rank 9 to 10 and Ayane earlier, at rank 7 to 8, and either rank 10 item lets you fuse Asura. Cultural clubs meet even in rain, which makes this link easy to fit around the weather. Persona 4 Revival keeps the Social Links, all newly voiced; Atlus has not said anything specific about the cultural clubs.

Drama Club or Music Club: Yumi or Ayane?

The two links pay the same reward and both offer a romance, so the choice is about the story and the answers. Ayane's link is the more demanding one: RPG Site marks several of her best answers as needing Courage or Understanding, while Yumi's answers have no stat gates. Ayane's romance also comes earlier, at rank 7 to 8, which leaves more ranks to enjoy as her boyfriend. Choosing one club locks the other girl out for that playthrough, like the sports clubs.

How to start the Sun link

RPG Site's Strength guide says clubs are unlocked by speaking to your teacher at school from Apr 19 (see the Strength link). From Apr 25, go to the club rooms and join the Drama Club for Yumi or the Music Club for Ayane; Siliconera places them in the club room or on Classroom Building 2F.

Which days are Yumi and Ayane available?

Guides disagree. RPG Site gives Monday, Tuesday and Friday and says not on rainy days; TheGamer and Siliconera give Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school, and Siliconera says cultural clubs meet in rain. Monday and Tuesday are safe on every list.

Romance and dating more than one

Both Sun girls are among the romanceable links RPG Site lists, alongside Chie, Yukiko, Rise, Naoto, Ai and Marie. The choice is made in one scene: "Hug her." for Yumi at rank 9 to 10, "Reveal your feelings for her." for Ayane at rank 7 to 8. Turning it down still lets the link reach rank 10 as a friendship, with the same Asura fusion. See Persona 4 Social Links for every romance in the game.

Rewards

Rank 10 gives the Annotated Script (Yumi) or the Handmade Ticket (Ayane); either lets you fuse Asura in the Velvet Room (see Persona Fusion). TheGamer's Expression guide lists drama or band practice among the ways to raise Expression, so club days also build a stat (see Social Stats).

The Sun link in Persona 4 Revival

Persona 4 Revival, a full remake of Persona 4 Golden out Feb 18, 2027, voices every Social Link event anew, per Atlus's Japanese site, and director Kazuhisa Wada told PCGamesN on Aug 26, 2026 the links are largely unchanged, with "little bits and pieces" added to some. Atlus has not named Yumi's or Ayane's English voices or said whether the one-club rule changes. Every guide here is for Persona 4 Golden; none says how the PS2 Persona 4's version differs.
