Persona 4 Golden has 23 Social Links, one per arcana, from Yosuke's Magician to Marie's Aeon; maxing each lets you fuse that arcana's strongest Persona. Persona 4 Revival (Feb 18, 2027) keeps them largely unchanged and fully voiced.
Persona 4 Golden has 23 Social Links: bonds with friends, family and townspeople in Inaba, each tied to a tarot arcana and ranked from 1 to 10, and Adachi's Jester link turns into a 24th arcana, Hunger, late in the story. Ranking a link up makes fused Personas of its arcana stronger, and maxing it lets you fuse that arcana's strongest Persona, per TheGamer. Seven links can become romances. Two links are Golden's additions to the 2008 PS2 game: Marie's Aeon and Adachi's Jester. In Persona 4 Revival, out Feb 18, 2027, the Social Links stay: director Kazuhisa Wada and art director Akane Kabayashi told PCGamesN on Aug 26, 2026 that they are largely unchanged, with "little bits and pieces" added to some, and every one is fully voiced. Atlus has not published Revival's ranks, dates or answers, so every walkthrough fact below is Persona 4 Golden's. The clip is Atlus's Jun 18, 2026 broadcast of Revival.

How do Social Links work in Persona 4 Golden?
Spending an after-school or night time slot with a character adds points to their link, and enough points bring a rank-up scene. Answers they like add more, usually 2 or 3 points per choice in RPG Site's guides; carrying a Persona of the same arcana adds a point to each good answer, TheGamer says. Some characters are out on rainy days, some only on certain weekdays, and some links advance on fixed story dates whatever you do. Many party members' links also teach them battle skills: Yosuke learns Dekaja at rank 4, and Chie Bufula at rank 8. At rank 10 you receive a key item that unlocks the arcana's final fusions; see Persona Fusion and Best Personas.

Naoto's link opens on Oct 21 and needs the two highest ranks, so Knowledge and Courage are worth raising early. Several answers elsewhere are stat-gated too, such as Yukiko's "Count me in!" (Courage 4, per RPG Site).
Who can you romance in Persona 4 Golden?
Chie, Yukiko, Rise, Naoto, Ai, one of Yumi or Ayane (whichever cultural club you join), and Marie, per RPG Site. Each romance hangs on one answer, usually around rank 8 or 9; Naoto's also needs two earlier flags. Revival keeps the same choices as far as Atlus has said, and PC Gamer reported on Sep 1, 2026 that it adds no romance with Yosuke.
Golden's additions
Persona 4 Golden added two links to the PS2 game. Marie, a Golden-exclusive character, holds the Aeon link from the Velvet Room, and finishing it opens the Hollow Forest bonus dungeon. Adachi's Jester link is one of Golden's "new s-links", built on the game's new nighttime scenes, as RPG Site puts it. Golden also let you spend evenings out with friends, which helps fill the calendar. The guides read here cover Golden only, so the PS2 game's dates and answers are not given; RPG Site warns that the PS2 game's class answers differ entirely, and the same caution applies to its links.
Social Links in Persona 4 Revival
Every Social Link scene in Revival is voiced: Atlus's Japanese site says all voices are newly recorded, every Social Link event among them, and PC Gamer lists the links as fully voiced. Wada told Anime Corner on Jul 8, 2026 that their nature is unchanged. Marie is in Revival with her outings, Siliconera reported on Oct 5, 2026. No new Social Link has been confirmed: Aika Nakamura, shown in a September broadcast, is a Location Episode character, and Atlus West said on Sep 25, 2026 that she is "not a Social Link." Tips for maxing Social Links
- Carry a Persona of the link's arcana before every hangout.
- Nanako must reach rank 10 by Oct 31, and Adachi's rank 6 by the end of Nov 1.
- Rain closes most school and street hangouts; use rainy days for the jobs, Margaret and Fox, who do not mind the weather.
- Dojima and Nanako are never home for you at the same time, so alternate the two.
- Margaret and Fox advance by tasks (Persona requests and ema quests), not by time slots.
- Plan the Persona 4 Calendar around dungeon deadlines: clearing a dungeon early frees days.
